Yankee Candle Review - Cranberry Ice

Hi guys,

Today's blog post will be a Yankee Candle review. This is my first 'festive' blog post' as the candle I'm going to be reviewing 'Cranberry Ice' is more of a Christmas/winter themed scent from Yankee.

I purchased this candle in their wax tart/ melt size. As I thought it would feel extremely festive burning away in my tart warmer.

Description: Refreshingly tart ans sweet! A cool, stimulating rush of frosty red fruits bursting with a tangy sweetness.

Packaging: Like all tarts made by Yankee Candle this comes in a plastic wrapper with a carefully designed label displaying the scent of the candle. This one shows cranberries deliciously covered with crisp ice.

Scent: I love this scent especially for this time of year. The perfect festive fragrance! This has a coolness to it combined with the sweet, fresh fragrance from the cranberries you can definitely tell they have been frozen. A slight orange scent comes through also, adding a zesty, refreshing feel to the candle.

Air Wick Candle Review - Purple Blackberry Fig

Hi everyone,

In today's post I will be reviewing a candle from Air Wick. The scent I will be reviewing is 'Purple Blackberry Fig'. This scent is perfect for the autumn/winter months.

I purchased this candle in their glass form. As is combines essentials oils through the stripes of purple throughout the candle. This candle also comes in a room spray, a ceramic candle and wall flowers.

Description: Purple Blackberry Fig. A burst of juicy blackberries mixed in with succulent fig to create the perfect burst of fruity freshness and brightness.

Packaging: I think the packaging of this candle is beautiful. The mix of purples and pinks are incorporated on the outer packaging as well and throughout the candle. I love how the fruits are displayed on the front. The purple ribbons throughout the candle add extra depth, giving a decorative feel to any room.

Scent: The scent is tremendous. Just the right balance of fruit, filling the whole room. The only downside to this candle is that it does not provide a clean burn. It leaves wax round the edges of the glass, but overall the scent is gorgeous.

Yankee Candle Review - Soft Blanket

Hi guys,

Today I will be reviewing a wax tart by Yankee Candle. The scent I will be reviewing is 'Soft Blanket' this scent is still available but can be a hard one to find on the market.

I purchased this candle in their wax tart/melt size. Wax melts are a fantastic alternative to the traditional wicked candle as they offer a safer way to burn candles and give off a beautiful aroma to fill any room. Due to tarts having no wick they tend to give off a stronger scent throw as its just the purity of the wax and oils burning.

Description: Wrapped in sweet dreams... a lullaby of clean citrus, luxurious vanilla and warm amber.

Packaging: As this candle is a wax tart the packaging only consists of a plastic wrapper. As per all of the Yankee Candle tarts they come with a beautiful sticker portraying a relevant image linking in with the name and scent of the candle. 'Soft Blanket' shows a very cute teddy bear wrapped up in a fresh, pure white blanket.

Scent: I absolutely love this scent. It smells so clean and fresh with bursts of refreshing citrus yet the warmth of the vanilla. I love how as soon as this candle starts to burn you get the fragrance straight away. Currently this is definitely one of my favourites.

Woodwick Candle Review - Cranapple Punch

Hi everyone,

In today's blog post I will be reviewing 'Cranapple Punch' by 'Woodwick Candles'. I'm very excited to be sharing my thoughts on this candle as I have been thoroughly enjoying it this month and will continue to enjoy it leading up to Christmas.

This candle is one of the newer editions to 'Woodwick' and is part of their Christmas collection.

What I love about 'Woodwick Candles' is that they crackle when they burn, creating the illusion of a camp fire. They also give such a clean burn, so you'll have no wax left behind, clinging onto the sides.

Description: A celebration of winter fruits including white cranberries, holiday peaches and sugar plums.
I own the 'Cranapple Punch' medium jar. This candle comes in a 283g glass jar with a wooden lid embossed with the  letters 'WW' in silver writing on top. This candle burns for up to 100  hours.

Packaging: The packaging of this candle is very smooth and elegant looking, with the hour glass effect. The wooden lid adds a touch of warmth to the candle, creating a 'fireside' theme. The design is very simple yet adds a hint of glamour to any living space.

Scent: This candle gives off the most delicious scent throw. This immediately makes any room smell wonderful with its fresh burst of berries bringing life to any living space. The scent it not overpowering at all, but leaves a room full of its fruity fragrance. It almost smells like berries being washed as it has a cool scent to it, hence the winter fruits. If you like fruity, fresh scents then you'll love this candle. I'd definitely categorise this candle under the 'fruit' department.

Bath & Body Works Candle Review - Leaves

Hi everyone,

Today I will be doing a candle review. The candle that I will be reviewing is from Bath & Body Works. This candle is 'Leaves' and is part of their Autumn collection.

This candle is one of the most popular ones from Bath & Body Works and has been hyped up and raved about for many years and rightly so as its a phenomenal candle.

Description: Celebrate the brilliant colours of autumn with this rich blend of golden nectar, red apple and berries.

I own the 'Leaves' three wick candle. This candle comes in a 411g glass jar with a mirrored lid embossed with the words 'Bath & Body Works'. This candle burns for approximately 30 - 45 hours.

Packaging: The packaging of this candle is very sleek and clean cut. With the modern mirrored lid to add a decorative touch to any living space and a detailed sticker on the front with relevant imagery and the bold name of the candle in front of the graphics. I love how simple yet elegant this candle is, its not too overwhelming on the eye yet it sets the mood and brings an autumnal vibe to any room.

Scent: I love the scent of this candle. Its very crisp and warm. The main scent that stands out to me is the cinnamon, I love how this scent fills the room, bringing a warm and cozy feel along with its homely aroma. With hints of mandarin, red apples and harvest berries it adds a sense of freshness to balance the spice from the cinnamon. Although this had touches of warmth I'd categorise this candle under the 'fruit' department'.

Scented Candle Haul

Hi guys,

In today's post I will be sharing with you a few candles I have picked up recently. These candles are unbranded but are still very good quality.

Scents shown above are:

- Sugared Raspberry
- Coconut & Lime
- Mango & Peach

Sugared Raspberry

The first candle I picked up was this three wick 'Sugared Raspberry' candle. I was attracted to this one straight away due to its vibrant colour. The scents is divine, sun ripped raspberries sprinkled with sweet sugar. I has a very sweet and fruit fragrance and would be perfect to burn around Halloween time as its very 'candy' like or around Christmas as it reminds me of fruity candy canes. I like that this candle has three wicks and comes in a glass jar, the only downside to these candles is that they come with a plastic lid which is not very ideal for storage as it will cave in, in the process of stacking.

Coconut & Lime

This next candle I purchased was another three wick candle in 'Coconut & Lime'. Being a massive lover of zesty, fruity, fresh scents I knew I had to pick this one up. This has a very creamy scent, almost 'perfume' like. I would say this candle is more fresh rather than fruity and zesty. This one would be ideal to burn during the spring time and its quite an uplifting scent to burn when doing the big 'spring clean'.

Mango & Peach

The last candle I picked up was the three wick 'Mango & Peach' candle. This would have to be my second favourite, if not favourite candle of them all. I love how fruity this one is. The scent also lingers in the room, which I love. This candle is definitely one to burn during the summer months as it just scream a Caribbean escape!
